in a nutshell....
I earned a B.S. from Loyola, where I majored in Elementary Education and minored in History...
...and a M. Ed, in Curriculum and Instruction for Social Studies, from the University of New Orleans . Needless to say, I'm a teacher. I have worked in both public and private schools, in Louisiana and in Florida, and currently teach Fifth Grade at a public school here in NOLA.
I have lived in Missouri, Maryland, Louisiana, and Florida. I enjoy living in New Orleans, but working...not so much anymore. Guess it's almost time to break out the map and darts, and find a new place to hang out for awhile. I'm the youngest in my family, with three siblings, seven neiphews, and thirty-some aunts, uncles and cousins, literally spread out all over the world--Connecticut, Kansas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Scotland, Florida and Sweden.
Someone once explained to me that I am the "epitome of Leo-ness"....most people walk into a party, look for someone they know, and walk over to them, but a Leo walks into a party, looks around, and waits for others to come to them.
Oddly enough, I am a Leo (July 31), and surround myself with lions and celestial objects.
I even have a tattoo of a sun over my heart, so that it is always sunny in my world. :)
And for those of you wondering....
...the "momma" nickname comes from mothering my friends, and has been with me for over 15 years.
My world is a child-free zone!
