2 carved stone slabs from Nineveh (Assyrian)....King Ashurbanipal hunting lions

Winged, human-headed bulls (weighing some 16 tons each) protected gateways of Assyrian palaces at Nimrud, Khorsabad and Nineveh.

 

These are from the palace of Sargon II at Khorsabad.
